With Luqman Hakim now on a verge of a breakthrough European career, it was high time that we spoke to the man was responsible for discovering Malaysian football’s wonderboy, Mr Lim Teong Kim himself.

In 2013, Teong Kim returned to Malaysia after being involved with Bayern Munich’s youth set up for fifteen years. He was invited by former l Minister of Youth and Sport, YB Khairy Jamaluddin to take charge of the National Football Development Programme (NFDP) as the Project Director.

We had the opportunity to talk to him about his playing career and then, the main course; his time with NFDP in which he had a lot to say. This conversation is not for the fainted heart but it is an enjoyable listen, nevertheless.
