When you think of Bayer Leverkusen, you automatically think of “Neverkusen”!

Despite coming so far and so close of achieving an unprecedented treble in Germany, you can’t deny just how amazing that team played throughout the 2001/02. So the three of us decided to look back at what was a pivotal moment in football during the early 2000s.

An important piece of that team is none other than Leverkusen captain himself, Jens Nowotny. In this episode, we look back at his playing career, life after retirement and much more.
