A few months ago I came across this concept called Mystery Kit from a friend of mine who purchased a jersey from an online store. After listening to his explanation, I felt this is interesting, something which I will be keen to get for myself in the future.

Basically, you will purchase a jersey from the seller based on your sizing criteria and they will deliver a jersey of which you will not know of which team it is until you open your packaging. In some cases, the seller will do a “boxing” concept from which they will throw in some other goodies to go along with your jersey.

The seller might even reach out to you in person to ask if there are any specific criteria that you want the seller to look into when deciding your mystery kit. Maybe it is a certain color? Or a certain type of team that you dislike (like hell no if a person who supports Boca ends up receiving a River jersey!)? or any details for that matter.

This is just the seller’s part to ensure that customers are fully satisfied with what they got in return from their purchase.

Rather than looking at European club jerseys (unless it is Huddersfield Town) of course, I’m always a sucker for shirts from other continents as they tend to come out with unique and out-of-this-world designs occasionally.

It wasn’t that long after my friend’s explanation I received a follow on Twitter from an account called Pibe De Barrio. It didn’t take long for me to find out that they’re also doing the same concept except that they’re more specialized with jerseys from Argentina (and even South America). This is absolutely perfect for me!

They have plenty of options available, from shirts to tops to bucket hats to even their own box set, simply known as La Bombobox (a perfect ode to Boca Juniors iconic home ground La Bombonera!)

In April this year when they started to restock and take new orders, I immediately jumped on it and started to purchase one for myself. After a much lengthy wait, I have finally received my parcel from the good guys from Pibe De Barrio.

I urge you to watch this unboxing video that we have created to find out more about what’s inside.
