June 12th, 1991; Malaysia hosted a Class A friendly international match against the Three Lions England led by Gary Linekar, David Platt & Stuart Pearce under the manager Graham Taylor.

With a star-studded lineup, Malaysia gave the visiting side a good run for their money despite losing the game 4-2. With that said, we are extremely proud to have the man who scored Malaysia’s two goals in that match, Matlan Marjan!

It was such a surreal feeling for us and honour to have the pleasure of interviewing Kota Belud’s proud son. What Matlan accomplished 29 years ago still resonates till this day as it is ranked among the finest moments in Harimau Malaya’s history.

We hope you enjoy the interview just as much we do and apologize in advance if our Bahasa was a bit rusty.
