Anyone who grew up watching Malaysian football in the 90s will never forget the name, Abbas Saad. On this episode, we look back at his career from obscurity in down under Australia to superstardom with Johor and Singapore Lions.

Before Phua Chu Kang, it was Abbas who lived and breath the tag “best in Singapore and JB” when he inspired both Johor and Singapore to Malaysia League and Cup double in 1991 and 1994 respectively.

But sadly, just as when Abbas was hitting at the zenith peak of his career, it came to a tumbling end following his charges related match-fixing in which will find out the truth about this from the man himself.

We would like to thank Abbas for taking his time to talk to us, an idol for one of our co-host when growing up watching Malaysian football in the 90s. On a personal level, he was such a down to earth person and was more than willing to share anything we wanted to know. A man who spoke from the heart.
