For this special Qatar 2022 retrospective, we decided to do things a little differently. With all three regular hosts—Sivan, Alwin, and Bala—being lifelong Argentina supporters, there was always a risk that this episode might turn into ninety minutes of unchecked celebration. So, in the interest of balance (and perhaps to keep our emotions in check), we invited our good friend Ras to step into the host’s chair and guide the conversation.

Together, we revisit one of the most unforgettable World Cups in modern history: from the shock of Saudi Arabia’s stunning victory over Argentina, to Morocco’s historic run, Mbappé’s brilliance, and the drama that unfolded across Qatar. Along the way, Sivan, Alwin, and Bala share their personal memories of following La Albiceleste’s rollercoaster journey—from the despair of that opening defeat to the euphoric night when Lionel Messi finally lifted the trophy that had eluded him for so long. Part football analysis, part fan confession, and part celebration of a truly extraordinary tournament, this is our tribute to the World Cup that completed Messi’s story and gave Argentina their place in football immortality.
