On this matchday vlog, we decided to head down to KLFA Stadium in Cheras to cover something different. This is the final of the Tun Sharifah Rodziah Cup between Negeri Sembilan and Melaka United.

For those of you who don’t know, Tun Sharifah Rodziah Cup is the oldest women’s football competition in Malaysia. This will also be our first time watching a women’s game in a stadium, so we were very excited about this.

At The BOLA BOLA Show, we have invited many distinguished guests to talk on various topics with regards to women’s football. Among which is non-other than Harimau Malaya’s captain herself, Steffi Sarge who is leading Melaka as they prepare to defend the title, they won in 2019 (the competition was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic). This is just our way of showing love and support as we have always felt that the women’s game needed to be given its rightful exposure.

We were made to understand that this year’s competition, there has been issues on the fixture arrangements which we don’t want to get into too much of details. However, we hope that the Football Association of Malaysia will learn from this and hope to see some improvement next year.

The thing that amazed us the most is that despite the final being played on a Sunday night, with lack of proper coverage given; we still had a good 400 plus people in the stadium. It goes to show, there is support for the women’s game and that’s a positive sign.

Anyway, we will not say anything more and just let you enjoy the video which we have created.
